GigHub

A freelance market that stops at the campus gate

GigHub marketplace

The premise

Open freelance platforms are a race to the bottom, and students lose it. So this one stops at the campus gate.

Open freelance platforms are a race to the bottom, and students lose it. GigHub is deliberately closed: only Jagannath University students get in, which turns anonymity into accountability. Tuition work, gigs and jobs circulate inside the campus, money moves through escrow rather than trust, and every completed job becomes part of a verified portfolio the student keeps.

How the money moves

Escrow, in four steps

  1. Agree

A student hires a peer. Scope and price are fixed inside the app.

  2. Hold

Payment moves into escrow. Neither party has to go first on faith.

  3. Deliver

Work is submitted and reviewed through in-app real-time chat.

  4. Release

Funds release, and the completed job joins a verified portfolio.

A closed marketplace for verified JnU students. The trust model is the product, not a feature bolted on.

Tuition & tutoring

A dedicated surface for tuition jobs and tutoring, the work students in Dhaka actually take.

Escrow-protected payment

Funds held until delivery, so neither side has to go first on faith.

Real-time chat

Buyer and seller negotiate in-app instead of leaking the relationship to Messenger.

Verified campus portfolio
