A licence, a hall, and a deadline
A TEDx licence comes with a hall to fill, and filling it means selling tickets, tracking who paid, and giving attendees something to post. This site handled the event's public face, ran semi-automated ticket sales with live seat state over Socket.io, and generated personalised photo frames from templates so every attendee left with a shareable artefact.
Run of show
- Before
Event information, speaker profiles and the public site.
- Sales
Semi-automated ticketing with live seat state over Socket.io.
- Door
Attendee verification against in-app records, not a spreadsheet.
- After
Template-based photo frames attendees generate and share.
Semi-automated ticketing
Sales, verification and attendee records handled in-app rather than across a spreadsheet and an inbox.
Live state over Socket.io
Ticket availability updates in real time, so two people never buy the same seat.
Template photo frames
Attendees generate personalised event frames from templates, a share asset produced by the site itself.
Media pipeline on Cloudinary
Uploads, transformation and delivery for speaker imagery and generated frames.
